A ridge you have hiked since you were a child, a lake where you learned to fish, a stretch of desert road where the sky goes violet at dusk. “Native” in our name is about that feeling of belonging to a piece of land, of being rooted somewhere. “Heart” is about carrying it with you. And “Tee” is the simplest way we know to wear it.
\n
Native Heart Tee started from a simple idea: clothing and gifts that carry the beauty of the land and the animals that share it with us, drawn with care, printed honestly and sold without gimmicks. The wolf under a winter moon, the eagle catching a thermal above a canyon, the bear walking a pine ridge at first light: these are images many of us hold close, and we wanted to put them on things people actually use every day.
\n
What we make
\n
Our catalogue is organised the same way most of our customers shop: by what they want to wear or give.
\n
\n
T-Shirts – soft unisex crewnecks, the everyday heart of the shop.
\n
Hoodies & Sweatshirts – pullovers, zip hoodies and crewnecks for cool evenings and campfires.
\n
Hawaiian Shirts – all-over printed button-ups for lake days and summer trips.
\n
Blankets – fleece and sherpa throws with large-format art.
\n
Home Decor, Ornaments and Drinkware – signs, pillows, holiday ornaments, mugs and tumblers for the home and for gifting.
\n
\n
On our homepage we group these into what we call the Four Directions: Sky for eagles and feathers, Forest for wolves and bears, Fire for the warmth of home and hearth, and Water for summer and the lake. It is a simple way to browse by feeling rather than by product type.
\n
An honest word about our designs
\n
We want to be clear about something that matters in this category. Our designs are inspired by North American landscapes and wildlife and by visual motifs associated with Native cultures. They are nature art. We do not claim that our products are made by Native American artists, that they are tribal goods, or that buying them supports any particular nation, unless a specific product page says so with permission and evidence. We do not use tribal names, seals or sacred regalia. We believe honesty about this is a form of respect, both to Native communities and to you as a customer.
\n
If you ever feel a design or description falls short of that standard, please write to us. Our Intellectual Property Policy explains how we handle those messages; in short, we listen, and when we agree, we remove the design.
\n
How your order is made
\n
We do not keep warehouses full of shirts in every size and colour. Instead, every item is printed after you order it, by print partners in the United States who specialise in each kind of product. Here is what happens:
\n
\n
You order. Your design, size and colour are sent to the right print partner for that product.
\n
The blank is picked. A new, unprinted garment, blanket, mug or ornament is taken from stock.
\n
It is printed. Tees and hoodies are usually printed directly onto the fabric; all-over pieces such as Hawaiian shirts and blankets are printed onto fabric that is then cut and sewn; mugs and ornaments are printed with heat-set inks.
\n
It is checked and packed. The print is inspected, the item folded or boxed, and a label created.
\n
It ships to you, free. Production usually takes 2–5 business days and transit times are on our Shipping & Delivery page.
\n
\n
Printing to order means less waste: we do not throw away unsold stock at the end of a season, and designs never “sell out” because a size ran low. It also means each piece is individual, so tiny variations in print placement are normal.
\n
What we promise
\n
We are a small business, and we try to make promises we can keep every time:
\n
\n
Our standing promises to customers
\n
\n
\n
Promise
\n
What it means
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
Free shipping
\n
Every order to the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, no minimum
\n
\n
\n
60-day returns
\n
Any item, any reason, from the day it is delivered
\n
\n
\n
Refunds within 7 days
\n
Issued to your original payment method within 7 days of approval
\n
\n
\n
We fix our mistakes
\n
Misprints, damage and wrong items are replaced or refunded at no cost
\n
\n
\n
A real reply
\n
Email answered by a person within 1 business day
\n
\n
\n
No fake urgency
\n
No countdown timers, invented stock counts or made-up reviews
\n
\n
\n
\n
The details behind each promise are on our Returns & Exchanges Policy and Refund Policy pages.
\n
Who buys from us
\n
Many of our customers are buying for someone else. A daughter looking for a wolf hoodie for her father, who spends every autumn in a tree stand. A couple choosing a sherpa blanket for their cabin. Grandparents ordering matching eagle tees for a family trip to the national parks. A first-Christmas ornament for a new home. We keep these people in mind when we write product pages and size guidance, because a gift has to fit, arrive in time and feel right when it is opened.
\n
Others buy for themselves: a tee for the weekend, a mug for the first coffee on the porch, a Hawaiian shirt for the lake. Whoever you are buying for, we want ordering to be simple and the item to last.
\n
Caring for what you buy
\n
Printed clothing lasts much longer with a little care. Wash cold, inside out, with similar colours. Tumble dry on low or, better, hang dry. Do not iron directly on the print. Blankets prefer a gentle cycle and low heat, and printed mugs and tumblers keep their art longest when washed by hand. Specific care notes appear on each product page, and our Size Guide explains how to choose the right fit before you order.
\n
Where we are
\n
Native Heart Tee is operated by Nativehearttee, 160 Azure St., Morro Bay, CA 93442, United States. This is our business address, not a shop or a returns centre, so please do not send parcels there unless we ask you to. Our products are made and shipped by print partners in the United States.
\n
Our values in practice
\n
Respect for the land
\n
The landscapes we draw are shared places. When we write product descriptions, we avoid turning them into clichés, and when we brief photographers for our product images, we ask for real outdoor settings, real light and no stereotyped props.
\n
Respect for people
\n
That includes Native communities, the artists who draw our designs, the print partners who make them, and you. We would rather lose a sale than mislead someone about what they are buying.
\n
Respect for your time
\n
Clear pages, honest estimates, and quick, human answers. If a problem is ours, we fix it without making you jump through hoops.
\n
The stories behind our collections
\n
Sky
\n
The eagle has always been the first image people mention when they think of the open West: a dark shape riding warm air above a canyon, turning slowly, never seeming to flap. Our Sky designs pair eagles, hawks and drifting feathers with wide horizons and the gradient colours of early morning. They suit people who look up first when they step outside, and they make good gifts for veterans of long road trips and for anyone who watches birds from the porch.
\n
Forest
\n
Wolves and bears are the animals of the treeline. A wolf against a full moon is one of the oldest images in nature art, and we try to draw it with restraint rather than snarling drama: a quiet animal in a quiet place. Bear designs lean on silhouettes, pine ridges and paw tracks. Forest designs live mostly on hoodies and sweatshirts, because those are what people wear when the evening turns cold.
\n
Fire
\n
Fire is the hearth: the place everyone gathers when the day is done. That is where our blankets, mugs, signs and pillows belong. These designs are calmer and warmer, with ember colours and starry skies, and they are made to live in a room for years.
\n
Water
\n
Lakes, rivers and coastlines bring the summer pieces: Hawaiian shirts with all-over prints of feathers over turquoise water and desert blooms, light enough for long afternoons by the water. Morro Bay, where our business is based, sits on the Pacific coast, so the sea is never far from our minds.
\n
How we choose what to sell
\n
Before a new product type joins the shop, we ask three questions. Will the print hold up to normal washing and use when cared for as described? Can we describe its sizes and materials accurately? Can it be delivered to all four of our countries at no extra cost to the customer? If the answer to any of these is no, we wait. That is why you will not find every possible product in our catalogue, and why some collections grow more slowly than others.
\n
Designs go through a similar check. We ask whether the image respects the animals and the land it shows, whether it avoids sacred or tribe-specific symbols, and whether it will still look good as a print on a dark shirt and a light one. A design that fails any of these does not get published.
\n
A young store, growing carefully
\n
We are adding designs and products steadily rather than all at once, so that each one is checked and described properly. If a collection looks quiet when you visit, new designs are being prepared; check back, or email us to ask about something specific. We do not publish customer reviews we have not received, and we do not run social media accounts we have not yet opened. When we do, they will be linked from this site.
\n
Get in touch
\n
We would love to hear from you, whether you have a question about sizing, an idea for a design, or a problem with an order.
