Scope of this policy</h2>\n<p>This policy explains how Native Heart Tee (&#8220;we&#8221;, &#8220;us&#8221;) handles personal information when you visit nativehearttee.com, create an account, place an order, or write to us. It applies to customers and visitors in all the countries we serve: the United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. It does not cover websites we link to, such as a carrier&#8217;s tracking page, which have their own policies.</p>\n<p>We are a small shop. We have tried to write this in plain language. If anything is unclear, email us and a person will answer.</p>\n<h2>2. Information we collect</h2>\n<h3>Information you give us</h3>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Order details:</strong> your name, email address, shipping and billing addresses, phone number if you choose to give one for delivery, the items you buy, sizes, colours, any personalised text, and order notes such as a gift message.</li>\n<li><strong>Account details:</strong> if you create an account, your email, a password (stored in hashed form, which means we cannot read it) and your saved addresses.</li>\n<li><strong>Messages:</strong> anything you write to us by email, including photos you send for a return or damage claim.</li>\n</ul>\n<h3>Information collected when you pay</h3>\n<p>Payments are handled by a payment provider. The provider collects your card or account details directly on its secure systems. We receive confirmation that a payment succeeded, a transaction reference, and limited details such as the card type and last four digits. We never see or store your full card number or security code.</p>\n<h3>Information collected automatically</h3>\n<p>When you browse the site, our web server and WordPress software record technical information such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you request and the time of the request. This is used to deliver pages, keep the site secure and diagnose errors. Our site is delivered through a content delivery and security network that also processes this technical information to protect the site from attacks.</p>\n<h2>3. Cookies</h2>\n<p>We use a small number of cookies that the store needs to work:</p>\n<table class=\"policy-table\">\n<caption>Cookies used on nativehearttee.com</caption>\n<thead>\n<tr>\n<th scope=\"col\">Type</th>\n<th scope=\"col\">Purpose</th>\n<th scope=\"col\">Duration</th>\n</tr>\n</thead>\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td>Cart and session cookies</td>\n<td>Remember what is in your cart and keep you signed in</td>\n<td>Session up to 48 hours</td>\n</tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Security cookies</td>\n<td>Help detect automated abuse and protect the checkout</td>\n<td>Short-lived</td>\n</tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Preference cookies</td>\n<td>Remember choices such as a dismissed notice</td>\n<td>Up to 1 year</td>\n</tr>\n</tbody>\n</table>\n<p>We do not currently use advertising cookies or third-party analytics cookies. If we add them in the future, for example to measure how many visitors come from an advertisement, we will update this policy first and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent. You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings; blocking essential cookies will stop the cart and checkout from working.</p>\n<h2>4. How we use your information</h2>\n<table class=\"policy-table\">\n<caption>Purposes and the reason we are allowed to use your information</caption>\n<thead>\n<tr>\n<th scope=\"col\">Purpose</th>\n<th scope=\"col\">Information used</th>\n<th scope=\"col\">Basis</th>\n</tr>\n</thead>\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td>Make and deliver your order</td>\n<td>Name, address, items, personalised text</td>\n<td>Needed to fulfil our contract with you</td>\n</tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Send order and shipping emails</td>\n<td>Email, order details, tracking numbers</td>\n<td>Needed to fulfil the contract</td>\n</tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Answer questions, returns and claims</td>\n<td>Messages, photos, order history</td>\n<td>Contract and our legitimate interest in good service</td>\n</tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Prevent fraud and keep the site secure</td>\n<td>IP address, technical logs, payment checks</td>\n<td>Legitimate interest and legal obligations</td>\n</tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Keep tax and accounting records</td>\n<td>Order totals, dates, billing details</td>\n<td>Legal obligation</td>\n</tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Marketing emails (only if you opt in)</td>\n<td>Email address</td>\n<td>Your consent, which you can withdraw at any time</td>\n</tr>\n</tbody>\n</table>\n<p>We do not currently send marketing emails. If we start, we will only email people who have clearly opted in, and every message will have an unsubscribe link.</p>\n<h2>5. Who we share information with</h2>\n<p>We share only what each partner needs to do its part:</p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Print partners</strong> in the United States receive your name, shipping address, the items and any personalised text, so they can print and pack your order.</li>\n<li><strong>Carriers</strong> receive your name, address and, where needed for delivery, your phone number or email for delivery notices.</li>\n<li><strong>Payment provider</strong> processes your payment and may run fraud checks.</li>\n<li><strong>Website host and security network</strong> store and deliver the website and its database.</li>\n<li><strong>Authorities</strong>, only when the law requires it, for example customs information for international parcels or a valid legal request.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. If the business were ever sold or merged, customer records could transfer to the new owner, who would have to respect this policy.</p>\n<h2>6. International transfers</h2>\n<p>Our business, print partners and website host are in the United States. If you order from Canada, Australia or New Zealand, your information is transferred to and processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those at home. We limit what is transferred to what is needed for your order and choose providers that protect information with reasonable security measures.</p>\n<h2>7. How long we keep information</h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Order records: kept for as long as tax and accounting laws require, generally up to 7 years.</li>\n<li>Support emails and claim photos: kept for 2 years after the last message, then deleted, unless they relate to an open issue.</li>\n<li>Accounts: kept until you ask us to close them; order records linked to the account are kept as above.</li>\n<li>Technical logs: kept for a short period, normally no more than 90 days, unless needed to investigate a security problem.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>8. How we protect information</h2>\n<p>The whole site is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection. Access to the store&#8217;s administration area is limited to the people who run it and protected by strong passwords. Payments are processed by the payment provider, not on our server. No system is completely secure, but if we ever learn of a breach that affects your personal information, we will tell you and the relevant authorities as the law requires.</p>\n<h2>9. Your rights and choices</h2>\n<p>Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>ask what personal information we hold about you and get a copy;</li>\n<li>ask us to correct information that is wrong or incomplete;</li>\n<li>ask us to delete information we no longer need (we must keep some order records for legal reasons);</li>\n<li>withdraw consent you have given, for example to marketing emails;</li>\n<li>complain to a privacy regulator.</li>\n</ul>\n<h3>California residents</h3>\n<p>Under California law you have the right to know what personal information we collect, use and disclose; to request deletion and correction; and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined in California law. You or an authorised agent can make a request by email.</p>\n<h3>Canada, Australia and New Zealand</h3>\n<p>Customers in Canada, Australia and New Zealand have rights to access and correct their personal information under their national privacy laws. You can contact us first; if you are not satisfied with our answer, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner, or the New Zealand Privacy Commissioner.</p>\n<h3>How to make a request</h3>\n<p>Email <a href=\"mailto:support@nativehearttee.com\">support@nativehearttee.com</a> with the subject &#8220;Privacy request&#8221; and tell us what you would like. To protect your information, we will confirm your identity by asking you to write from the email used for your orders or to confirm order details. We answer within 1 business day to acknowledge the request and complete it within the time the law allows, normally 30 to 45 days.</p>\n<h3>What happens after you ask for deletion</h3>\n<p>When we receive a verified deletion request, we close your account, remove saved addresses, and delete support emails and photos that are no longer needed. Order records that tax and accounting laws require us to keep are retained but restricted, which means they are only used for those legal purposes. We tell you what was deleted and what had to be kept, and why.</p>\n<h2>10. Gift orders and information about other people</h2>\n<p>When you send an order to someone else, you give us their name and address. We use that information only to deliver the gift and handle any return or claim related to it. Please make sure the recipient would be comfortable with you sharing their address for this purpose. We do not contact gift recipients for marketing. If a recipient writes to us about an order, we may confirm that a parcel is on its way without revealing the price or the buyer&#8217;s payment details.</p>\n<h2>11. Personalised text and photos</h2>\n<p>Some items let you type a name, date or short phrase. That text is shared with the print partner who makes the item and stored with your order so that we can reprint it if something goes wrong. Please do not type sensitive information, such as health details or identification numbers, into personalisation fields or order notes. Photos you send us for damage claims are used to resolve the claim and, if needed, to show a print partner or carrier the problem; we do not publish them.</p>\n<h2>12. Children</h2>\n<p>Our store is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the age set by local law). If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.</p>\n<h2>13. Links to other sites</h2>\n<p>Our pages link to carriers&#8217; tracking pages and, in emails, to the payment provider. Those sites have their own privacy practices, which we do not control.</p>\n<h2>14. Changes to this policy</h2>\n<p>We will update this page when our practices change, for example if we add a new payment method or start using analytics. The date at the top shows the latest version. Significant changes will also be announced on the site.</p>\n<h2>15.
