Payment Methods

Last updated:

Paying at a glance

  • Currency: all prices and charges are in US dollars (USD).
  • Accepted methods: the options available for your order are shown on the checkout page before you pay. We only list methods that are live and tested.
  • Security: payments are processed by a payment provider over an encrypted connection; we never see or store your full card number.
  • Shipping: free to the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, so the total you see is the item total plus any applicable US sales tax.
  • Refunds: go back to the method you paid with, issued within 7 days of approval.

1. How payment works on Native Heart Tee

When you reach checkout, you enter your shipping details and then choose from the payment options shown for your order. The available options are displayed directly on the checkout page, and that page is always the most accurate list. We do not advertise payment brands or wallets on this site until they are connected and have passed a test payment, so you will not see a logo here for a method you cannot actually use.

Your payment is authorised when you place the order. Because every item is printed to order, the payment confirms that we should send your order to production. If an order cannot be produced, for example because a blank is unavailable and you choose not to wait, the payment is refunded in full.

2. What you will see at checkout

  1. Order summary: each item with design, size, colour and price, and any discount applied.
  2. Shipping: “Free shipping” selected automatically for addresses in the US, Canada, Australia or New Zealand.
  3. Taxes: US sales tax, where it applies, calculated from your shipping address and shown as a separate line before you pay.
  4. Payment options: the methods enabled for the store, each with its own secure form or redirect.
  5. Place order: one final button; nothing is charged before you press it.

3. Currency and international cards

Our store prices in US dollars. If you pay with a card issued in Canada, Australia or New Zealand, your bank converts the amount into your home currency using its own exchange rate, and some banks add a foreign transaction fee. Those fees are set by your bank, not by us, and we cannot refund them. If you are unsure, check with your card issuer before ordering, or use a card that does not charge foreign transaction fees.

What to expect when paying from each selling country
Where you live Price shown Possible extra costs
United States USD US sales tax where it applies, shown at checkout
Canada USD Bank conversion or foreign transaction fee; possible GST/HST or duties on import
Australia USD Bank conversion or foreign transaction fee; possible GST on import
New Zealand USD Bank conversion or foreign transaction fee; possible GST on import

Import taxes and duties are explained on our Shipping & Delivery page.

4. Security

Every page of nativehearttee.com is served over HTTPS, which encrypts information travelling between your browser and our site. Card details are entered on forms provided by the payment provider, or on the provider’s own pages, and go straight to the provider. Our store receives a confirmation that the payment succeeded and a reference number, plus limited details such as the card type and the last four digits, which help us find a payment if you ask about it. We do not receive your full card number or the security code.

We will never ask for your card number, passwords or one-time verification codes by email, phone or social media. If you receive a message claiming to be from us that asks for these, do not reply; forward it to [email protected].

5. Declined payments

If a payment is declined, your order is not placed and nothing is charged. Common reasons include a billing address that does not match the card, a card that has expired, a daily spending limit, or a bank blocking a first-time international or online purchase. Try these steps:

  • check that the billing address and postcode match the address your bank has on file;
  • check the card number, expiry date and security code;
  • approve the payment in your banking app if your bank asks for verification;
  • contact your bank, then try again;
  • try a different payment method from those shown at checkout.

If it still does not work, email us with the time of the attempt and the error shown. We cannot see your card details, but we can check whether the attempt reached the payment provider.

6. Pending charges and authorisations

Some banks show a pending amount as soon as you place an order and replace it with the final charge a day or two later. If a payment attempt failed and you then paid successfully, you may briefly see two pending amounts; the failed one normally disappears within a few business days. If you see two completed charges for the same order, contact us and we will refund the duplicate.

7. Discount codes

When a public promotion is running, enter the code in the coupon field on the cart or checkout page before paying. Only one code can be used per order unless the promotion says otherwise. Codes cannot be exchanged for cash. If you forgot a code that was active when you ordered, email us within 24 hours and we will refund the difference, as explained on our Cancel or Change an Order page.

8. Refunds to your payment method

All refunds go back to the method used for the order. We issue approved refunds within 7 days, and your bank or provider then needs its own time to show the credit. Full details, including partial refunds and refunds for gifts, are on our Refund Policy page.

9. Payment and order security checks

To protect customers, our payment provider runs automated fraud checks. Occasionally an order is held for review. We may email you to confirm details such as the shipping address. If we cannot confirm an order, we cancel it and refund it in full. Orders that are clearly fraudulent are cancelled and may be reported to the payment provider.

10. Invoices and receipts

Your order confirmation email serves as your receipt. It lists every item, the price, any discount, tax if applicable, and the total. If you need a separate invoice with a company name, email us with your order number and the details to include. Logged-in customers can also view past orders in their account.

11. Paying for an order for someone else

You can pay with your own card and enter a different shipping address for a gift. The billing address must be yours and match your card; the shipping address can be anywhere in our four selling countries. Prices do not appear on packing slips.

12. Business and bulk orders

For larger quantities of one design, such as matching hoodies for a family reunion, write to us before ordering. We can confirm whether the print partners can produce the quantity in your timeframe. We do not currently offer invoicing on credit terms; bulk orders are paid at checkout like any other order.

13. Questions people ask about paying

Is it safe to enter my card on your site?

Yes. Card details are handled by the payment provider over an encrypted connection and are never stored on our server. Look for the padlock in your browser’s address bar on the checkout page.

Why does my statement show a different name?

Your statement may show the business name Nativehearttee or the payment provider’s name with ours. If you do not recognise a charge, email us before contacting your bank and we will help you match it to an order.

Can I pay in my own currency?

Not at the moment. Prices are in US dollars and your bank handles conversion.

Can I pay later or in instalments?

Only if such an option appears at checkout. We do not list instalment providers here unless they are connected and tested.

Why was I charged sales tax?

Some US states require online sellers to collect sales tax on orders shipped to addresses in those states. When tax applies, it is calculated from the shipping address and shown on its own line at checkout before you pay. Orders shipped to Canada, Australia and New Zealand are not charged US sales tax, though your own country may charge import tax on arrival.

Do you keep my card on file for next time?

We do not store card details on our server. Some payment providers offer to remember your details on their own systems for faster checkout; that choice is between you and the provider and is shown, if available, on the payment form itself.

My payment went through but I did not get a confirmation email.

Check your spam or promotions folder first, and search for “Native Heart Tee”. If you still cannot find it after an hour, email us with your name and the approximate time of the order; we can resend the confirmation and check the order details for you.

Can I change the payment method after ordering?

Not directly. If you need to pay a different way, we can cancel the order within the 24-hour window, refund it, and you can place it again with the other method.

14. A checklist before you press “Place order”

  • Size and colour are right for each item; if unsure, compare with our Size Guide.
  • Any personalised text is spelled exactly as you want it printed.
  • The shipping address includes the apartment or unit number and the correct postcode.
  • The billing address matches the address your bank has for your card.
  • Any active discount code is entered and shows in the order summary.
  • The total shown is the amount you expect to be charged in US dollars.

Taking a minute over this list prevents most of the changes and cancellations we are asked about, and it means your order can go straight to the printer without waiting for a correction.

15. Changes to payment options

We may add or remove payment methods. When we do, we test them on a live checkout first and then update this page. The date at the top of the page shows when it last changed.

16. Contact

Questions about a payment go to [email protected]. Include your order number and the date of the payment, never your card number. We reply within 1 business day, Monday to Friday, Pacific Time. More help: FAQs, Help Center and our Terms of Service.
