1. How a Native Heart Tee order travels to you
Nothing in our shop sits on a shelf waiting for a buyer. When you place an order for a wolf-moon hoodie, an eagle tee or a sherpa blanket, the design file and your chosen size and colour are sent to a print partner in the United States. The blank garment or item is picked, printed, cured, checked, folded and packed, and only then handed to a carrier. That is why the total time to your door has two parts: production time, which we control together with our print partners, and transit time, which depends on the carrier and the distance.
Thinking about those two parts separately helps you plan. If you need a gift for a particular date, add the production estimate to the transit estimate for your country and then leave a few days of margin for weekends, holidays and weather. The sections below explain each step, what can slow it down and what we do when something goes wrong.
Business days, not calendar days
All of our estimates are counted in business days: Monday to Friday, excluding US federal holidays. An order placed on a Friday evening therefore starts its production count on the following Monday. Carriers in Canada, Australia and New Zealand also observe their own public holidays, which can add a day here and there on international parcels.
2. Production time
Production normally takes 2–5 business days from the moment your order is confirmed. Simple items such as a single tee often move faster; all-over printed pieces such as Hawaiian shirts and blankets sit at the longer end because the fabric is printed first and then cut and sewn. Orders that combine several product types may be produced at different facilities, which is explained in section 5.
| Product type | Typical production | Why |
|---|---|---|
| T-shirts | 2–4 business days | Direct-to-garment print on a ready-made blank |
| Hoodies and sweatshirts | 2–5 business days | Heavier blanks, longer curing |
| Hawaiian shirts | 3–5 business days | Fabric printed, then cut and sewn |
| Blankets and pillows | 3–5 business days | Large-format print and finishing |
| Ornaments, mugs, signs | 2–5 business days | Printed and packed with extra protection |
During the weeks before Christmas, Father’s Day and Mother’s Day, print partners receive far more orders than usual and production can stretch beyond these ranges. When we know about a delay before you order, we post it in the bar at the top of the site. When we learn about it after you order, we email you.
3. Transit times by country
Once your parcel leaves the print partner, a carrier takes over. We pick the service based on the destination and the parcel size, so the exact carrier may differ between orders. The transit estimates below are our current planning numbers; they are estimates, not guarantees, and the carrier’s tracking page is always the most current source.
| Destination | Shipping cost | Transit estimate | Typical total with production |
|---|---|---|---|
| United States (incl. Alaska and Hawaii) | Free | 3–7 business days | 5–12 business days |
| Canada | Free | 6–12 business days | 8–17 business days |
| Australia | Free | 6–12 business days | 8–17 business days |
| New Zealand | Free | 6–12 business days | 8–17 business days |
Parcels to Alaska, Hawaii, rural routes, island communities and remote parts of Australia and New Zealand can take a few days longer than the upper end of the range. APO/FPO/DPO military addresses are accepted where the carrier allows them; please allow extra time.
A worked example
Say you order a moonlit wolf hoodie on a Monday morning for your husband’s birthday, and you live in Ohio. Production of 2–5 business days means it is likely to ship between Wednesday and the following Monday. US transit of 3–7 business days puts arrival somewhere between the following Friday and roughly two and a half weeks after ordering. If the birthday is ten days away, the hoodie may make it, but it is not something we can promise; ordering three weeks ahead gives a comfortable margin.
4. Shipping cost, duties and taxes
Standard shipping is free to every address in our four countries. You will see the free shipping method selected automatically at checkout once you enter an eligible address. There is no minimum spend and no code to type. We do not currently offer paid express services.
Orders to Canada, Australia and New Zealand are shipped from the United States, which means they cross a border. Many low-value parcels pass without extra charges, but import thresholds and rules are set by each country and change from time to time. If your country’s customs authority charges duties, import taxes such as GST, or a brokerage or handling fee, those charges are the responsibility of the recipient, and we cannot see or control them in advance. If you refuse a parcel because of import charges, please write to us first so we can explain the options; refused parcels that come back to us are handled under our Refund Policy.
5. Orders with more than one item
Different products are often made by different print partners. A tee and a ceramic mug in the same order may be printed in different states and shipped in separate parcels, each with its own tracking number. You do not pay extra for split shipments, and each tracking number is sent to you as it becomes available. If one parcel arrives and the other has not, check your order email or our Order Tracking page before contacting us; the second parcel is often a day or two behind.
6. Tracking your parcel
When each parcel ships, we email a shipping confirmation with the carrier name and tracking number to the address used at checkout. Tracking can take 24–48 hours to show the first scan, because the label is created before the carrier physically collects the parcel. International parcels sometimes show few updates while they are in transit between countries, then resume once the local carrier receives them. The full guide to reading tracking statuses is on our Order Tracking page.
7. Addresses and delivery problems
Check your address before you pay
Please check the street address, apartment or unit number, postcode and recipient name at checkout. We print and ship exactly the address entered. If you notice a mistake after ordering, email us as quickly as possible; within the change window described on our Cancel or Change an Order page we can usually update it before the label is created.
If a parcel comes back to us
If the carrier returns a parcel because the address was incomplete or incorrect, or because it was not collected, we will contact you. We can reship it to a corrected address; when the original address was entered incorrectly, we may ask you to cover the cost of the second shipment, and we will tell you the amount before anything is charged.
Marked delivered but not found
Look around the delivery spot, check with neighbours and anyone else at the address, and check your mailbox or parcel locker. Carriers sometimes mark parcels delivered a day early. If it still has not appeared after two days, email us with your order number and we will open a claim with the carrier.
Lost in transit
If tracking has not moved for 7 business days, contact us. We ask the carrier to investigate; if they cannot locate the parcel within 5 business days, we either reprint and reship the order at no cost or refund it, whichever you prefer.
Damaged on arrival
If a parcel arrives damaged, or something inside is broken, misprinted or wrong, keep the packaging and email photos within 60 days of delivery. We replace or refund items damaged in transit or affected by our mistakes; the details are in our Returns & Exchanges Policy.
8. Holidays and peak seasons
The weeks from mid-November to late December are the busiest of the year for printing and for carriers. During that period, production can take longer than 5 business days and carriers may add days to their usual transit times. If you are buying Christmas ornaments, blankets or hoodies as gifts, we suggest ordering by early December for US addresses and by mid-November for Canada, Australia and New Zealand. These are suggestions based on typical seasons, not guaranteed cut-off dates.
9. Weather, carrier disruption and events outside our control
Storms, wildfires, floods, carrier strikes, customs backlogs and similar events can delay parcels. We cannot control these, but we will keep you updated when we know an order is affected and we will not leave you waiting without an answer. If a delay means a gift will arrive after the occasion, write to us; when the order has not yet entered production, we can cancel it.
10. Gifts and shipping to someone else
You can enter a different shipping address from your billing address and send an order straight to the person you are buying for. Our packing slips do not show prices. If you would like a short gift note, add it in the order notes at checkout and we will do our best to include it where the print partner supports notes; when they do not, we will tell you.
11. Packaging
Garments ship in light, water-resistant mailers that keep parcels small, which helps keep shipping free. Mugs, ornaments and signs ship in boxes with padding. Blankets are folded into larger mailers or boxes depending on their size. If a mailer arrives torn or wet and the item inside is affected, photograph both and contact us within 60 days of delivery.
12. Contact us about shipping
Email [email protected] with your order number and a short description, and we will reply within 1 business day (Monday to Friday, Pacific Time). You can also use our Submit a Ticket page, which has ready-made email subjects for the most common shipping questions, or browse the Help Center and FAQs.
